Postpartum Rage Therapy Intensives Ontario

Stop Apologizing for Your Rage. Start Listening to It.

This 3-hour therapy intensive is designed for postpartum parents who feel like they’re one meltdown away from breaking — and are ready for real relief.

You’re not too much. You’re not failing. And this isn’t "just hormones."

Postpartum rage is a survival response. It’s what happens when your body, nervous system, and soul are trying to say: this is not sustainable.

But most therapy spaces aren’t built to hold that kind of intensity — especially not in the postpartum period, where everything feels urgent, raw, and buried under a mountain of to-dos.

That’s why I created the Postpartum Rage Therapy Intensive.

One focused, intentional session. Three hours of depth. And space to finally feel what’s underneath the fire.

WHAT IS A THERAPY INTENSIVE?

This is not your typical 50-minute weekly therapy session.

It’s a 3-hour deep dive rooted in trauma-informed care — blending:

  • Sensorimotor Psychotherapy to understand how shame lives in your body

  • Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) to rebuild inner safety

  • Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) to make sense of relationship shifts, grief, and needs

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for emotional regulation and crisis survival

Whether you’ve never done therapy before or feel stuck in your current work, this format gives you the time, space, and momentum to actually go there.

WHO IS THIS FOR?

This intensive is for you if:

  • You’re overwhelmed by sudden outbursts, irritability, or emotional shutdowns
  • You feel isolated, overstimulated, or like you’re failing as a parent
  • "Mom guilt" is disguising a deeper fear of taking up space or asking for help
  • Weekly therapy hasn’t given you the relief you need — or you simply can’t manage it logistically
  • You want change now, not after months of trying to squeeze support into survival mode

WHY THIS FORMAT WORKS

Because you get to:

  • Keep momentum instead of starting from scratch each week

  • Make the most of your childcare window —  no weekly babysitter scramble

  • Actually integrate what you learn while it’s still fresh

  • Stop intellectualizing and start feeling again, safely and supported

Think of it like a Fast Pass at Canada’s Wonderland — you skip the long wait and get right to the part that moves you forward.

Part 1: Understanding What’s Really Going On

We’ll make sense of your rage and burnout, without judgment.

You’ll finally understand why you keep snapping—or shutting down—and learn that it’s not because you’re broken or doing something wrong. Your body has been protecting you.

We’ll look at how shame, perfectionism, and constant pressure have shaped your emotions—and how to stop blaming yourself for just trying to survive.

Psychoeducation (Sensorimotor + DBT)

  • The shame-trauma-anger loop

  • Why you’re not broken — your body is protecting you

  • Perfectionism, emotional myths, and self-blame

Part 2: Building Self-Compassion That Actually Sticks

This is where things start to soften.

You’ll learn what your nervous system needs to feel calm and safe again—not just in theory, but in ways that feel doable.

We’ll practice tools that help you manage emotions before they spill over. Not because you need to “fix” yourself, but because you deserve to feel steady in your own skin.

Self-Compassion Building (CFT + DBT)

  • The three-systems model (threat, drive, soothe)

  • Relearning safety and softness

  • Realistic emotional regulation skills

Part 3: Getting Clear on What You Need—And How to Ask for It

You’re not meant to do this alone. We’ll map out who’s in your life, what kind of support is missing, and how to set boundaries that protect your energy.

We’ll explore any grief or identity shifts that have come up since becoming a parent—so you can reconnect with the version of you that’s been buried under responsibility.

Support Mapping & Boundaries (IPT + Attachment)

  • Social circle inventory & goals roadmap

  • Role transitions, grief, isolation

  • What do you need - and how can you ask for it?

What We’ll Do Together in Your 3-Hour Intensive

FAQ

Why focus on postpartum rage?

Because it’s one of the least talked-about, most misunderstood experiences in parenthood.

Postpartum rage isn’t a character flaw — it’s often a mix of trauma, nervous system overwhelm, unmet needs, and shame. This intensive gives you a space to understand where your rage is coming from, how to work with it, and how to shift into more empowered, regulated ways of responding.

What if I cry the whole time, or I’m not ready to talk about it all?

Crying is allowed. Expression is welcomed. You’ll be guided at your pace. The goal isn’t disclosure. It’s relief.

What if I want more support after?

Your intensive can stand alone — or be followed up with:

  • one-off 50-min sessions
  • future intensives with focused themes (communication, grief, intimacy, identity, etc.)
  • Art-based and somatic options, customized to you
Do I need to prep anything for the session?

Just yourself, a private space, and whatever helps you feel comfortable (water, tissues, a cozy sweater, snacks if needed). You’ll also get a brief intake form beforehand to help guide the session based on your needs.

What happens in the intro call?

Your 30-minute intro call ($25) is a relaxed, no-pressure space to:

  • Share a bit about what’s going on for you

  • Ask any questions you have about the intensive format

  • Hear how I would tailor the session to your needs

  • Handle scheduling & logistics if you decide to move forward

The $25 is applied to your intensive if you go forward with booking.

What if I don't have childcare?

That’s exactly why this model exists.

Instead of needing to find a babysitter every week, you can carve out one single window of uninterrupted time — with the option to do it on a weekend if needed. You’re already juggling so much. This is designed to work around that.

Is this covered by insurance?

It depends on your provider. Sessions are delivered by a registered psychotherapist (qualifying) in Ontario and include official receipts you can submit. Be sure to check with your insurance provider for coverage under psychotherapy or registered psychotherapist (RP).

Is there a payment plan or sliding scale?

Sliding scale isn’t available at this time, but your credit card provider may offer a buy-now-pay-later or installment plan. I encourage clients to check with their bank or card provider for options.

Do I need previous therapy experience?

Not at all. Whether this is your first time in therapy or you’ve done years of personal work, this format meets you where you’re at.

READY TO START?

Let’s begin with a low-pressure, 30-minute intro call. We’ll get a sense of what you’re carrying, what you’re hoping for, and whether this format feels right

Because you don’t have to keep surviving this alone.
